Authorities arraigned Robert Camara, Jr., 38,  at Wrentham District Court on Monday, January 9. He faces seven charges, including assault with a dangerous weapon, larceny, and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. Camara faces the charges following a vehicular accident that injured Plainville police officer Todd Holbrook.

The incident under discussion occurred around 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 8 when employees at a Target store saw Camara trying to steal DVD players. Camara left the store after employees called the police. Plainville police officer Todd Holbrook chased Camara in the parking lot, but Camara was able to get inside his vehicle before Holbrook could catch up to him. Camara purposefully ran over Holbrook in his attempt to escape. Police officers were able to catch up to Camara and took him under custody.
