The Resmini/Fenton/O’Brien Scholarship was created to help promising students from Rhode Island with substantial financial needs attend law school at Suffolk University. Our very own Ronald J. Resmini earned his JD in 1968 from the Suffolk University Law School, and Resmini feels indebted to the personal and professional inspiration former Dean John E. Fenton and John F. X. O’Brien provided him during his time at Suffolk.
Soon after graduating from Suffolk with his JD in 1968, Resmini went on to clerk for Rhode Island Supreme Court Justice William E. Powers before he entered into general practice. Over the course of his career, Resmini has been a prolific author, notable lecturer, and a fellow of the Rhode Island Bar Foundation. It was with a desire to provide others with the same foundational education that Ronald Resmini created the Resmini/Fenton/O’Brien Scholarship.
