Man facing charges after setting Webster restaurant on fire

WEBSTER, MA – A man is facing charges following an investigation into a restaurant fire in Webster earlier this month.

According to WCVB, Joel Batista-Viera started a fire at the Wind Tiki Chinese restaurant at 154 Thompson Road on March 18. The building was destroyed following the blaze.

Batista-Viera faces several charges including breaking and entering and arson.

No injuries have been reported.
