MASHPEE, MA – The 91-year-old victim who was struck by at least one vehicle Monday pm Rte 28 near Orchard Dr died from her injuries later that day, Cape Cod Times reports.
Dorothy Henderson was struck in the westbound lanes of Rte 28. Following the collision, two drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
First responders transported Henderson to an area hospital around 5:47 p.m. with life-threatening injuries. She died there later on Monday.
The Mashpee Police Department and the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating the wreck.
