Police respond to fatal crash on I-95

GUILFORD, CT – Two people died following a wrong-way collision on I-95 Sunday, according to NBC.

Klever Cordova, 46, was driving south on I-95 NB when he collided head-on with a car driven by Jose Dias, 35.

First responders were called to the scene around 10:45 p.m. They pronounced Cordova dead at the scene and transported Dias to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI – One driver died in a wrong-way crash on Rte 1 near Moonstone Beach Road Monday, according to Providence Journal.

Robert Brown, 56, was driving a Buick Encore north in the southbound lanes when he crashed into two other vehicles around 5 p.m.

Emergency crews pronounced Brown dead at the scene. First responders transported one of the drivers, Lisa Brunetti, 59, to an area hospital via helicopter with serious injuries. Another driver, Stephen Hatch, 47, was treated by medics at the scene.

Police investigate hit-and-run crash near Moosup

PLAINFIELD, CT – A person was injured in a hit-and-run collision at High St and Squaw Rock Rd Sunday, according to WTNH.

A Dodge pickup truck driver was driving north on Squaw Rock Rd when they turned right onto High St and struck a Nissan Altima operated by Arlette Moran, 65.

Following the collision, the Dodge truck fled the scene. Moran was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Police believe the suspect’s vehicle probably has damage to its front-end. They urge anyone with information concerning the crash to contact them.

Police arrest woman for fatal drunk driving accident at Rte 2 and W Natick Rd

WARWICK, RI – A woman was arrested Thursday for a fatal DUI crash that happened on December 7, according to WPRI.

Audriana Hill, 31, was involved in a collision with Caleb Winfrey, 25, at Rte 2 and W Natick Rd. First responders transported Hill and Winfrey to an area hospital, where Winfrey later died on December 23.

Hill has been charged with DUI of liquor or drugs resulting in death, driving with a suspended license, and reckless driving.

Peter Burns, 57, was driving on slick, icy roads when he lost control of his vehicle, struck a speed limit sign, went through a wire guardrail, down an embankment, and hit multiple trees around 6:30 a.m.

First responders pronounced Burns dead at the scene.
