NEW BEDFORD, MA – According to WBSM, a driver struck and critically injured a pedestrian at Belleville Ave and Nash Rd Tuesday.

The driver hit the pedestrian around 6 p.m. First responders transported the victim to an area hospital with a severe head injury.

The police closed off the area following the collision to investigate the crash.

Impaired driver fatally collides with another vehicle on Wareham St

MIDDLEBOROUGH, MA – A drunk driver fatally struck another vehicle near 566 Wareham St Tuesday, WCVB reports.

Tianna Hutchinson, 21, was driving a Chrysler 300 when she collided with a Hyundai Sonata around 11:30 p.m.

First responders transported the 48-year-old female driver of the Sonata to an area hospital, where she later died.

The police arrested Hutchinson for motor vehicle homicide and operating under the influence of liquor. Hutchinson’s blood-alcohol level was over twice the legal limit at the time of the collision.

Hutchinson was arraigned Wednesday and released on personal recognizance under the condition she remains confined at her home except for traveling to work and that she is to undergo alcohol monitoring multiple times a day.

LAKEVILLE, MA – According to WHDH, four people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash in front of the police station on Bedford St Friday.

The crash heavily damaged the two vehicles, causing debris to scatter along the road.

Twin brothers die in single-vehicle crash on I-95

MATTAPOISETT, MA – A fatal single-vehicle crash on WB I-95 claimed the lives of twin 33-year-old brothers on Dec 24, WPRI reports.

According to Massachusetts State Police, Alberto and Ruddy Morales were occupying a vehicle when it crashed into the median and multiple trees near the 32 mile marker around 11 a.m. It is unclear at this time which brother was driving at the time of the crash.

First responders transported the victims to St. Luke’s hospital, where they died a short time later.

Authorities are working to determine the cause of the crash.

First responders were called to the scene around 5:20 a.m. They arrived to find a passenger vehicle overturned in the median and resting on its roof.

One person was killed in the crash. It is unclear if the victim died at the scene or a hospital.

Man dies following fire at multi-family home on Hemlock St

NEW BEDFORD, MA – A man died following a fire at a three-story, multi-family home on Hemlock St Monday, WPRI reports.

Firefighters were dispatched to the home around 5 a.m. Upon arrival, they saw heavy fire emanating from the second story.

Crews made their way inside and discovered Daniel Dupont, 65, on the second floor.

Dupont was transported in critical condition to an area hospital where he died.

In addition to Dupont, a woman who suffered smoke inhalation and was also taken to a local hospital

According to firefighters, rescue efforts were hampered by hoarding within the apartment.

The fire displaced five families. The fire marshal is investigating the incident. Fire Chief Scott Kruger says the fire appears to be accidental.

2-car crash sends SUV flying into home on Cherry St

PLYMOUTH, MA – A driver was injured after his SUV went through a home on Cherry St Thursday morning, CBS Boston reports.

According to police, a driver was speeding down a hill when he rear-ended another vehicle and hit a boulder, which sent him airborne into the home around 9:20 a.m.

Following the collision, the 55-year-old driver was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. Nobody inside the home was hurt in the incident.

Driver airlifted after pin-in crash in Rochester

ROCHESTER, MA – One person was flown to the hospital after a single-vehicle crash in Rochester on Sunday evening.

According to WBSM, first responders were dispatched to the scene on Braley Hill Road at about 7:35 a.m.

Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to extricate the unidentified driver from their vehicle. A medflight helicopter was then called in to transport the victim to a Rhode Island hospital for treatment.

The circumstances leading up to the rash are not mentioned in the report.
