Westport man hospitalized after house fire

WESTPORT, MA – A man was sent to the hospital after yet another house fire in Westport over the weekend.

According to WBSM, fire crews responded to a fire Sunday evening at 1634-1636 Drift Road.

They found a man in the front yard with injuries from the blaze. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Authorities believe a wood-burning stove was the cause of the fire. This was the fourth fire in the past week that fire crews have extinguished in Westport.

8 people injured after multi-vehicle Lakeville crash

LAKEVIEW, MA – A total of eight people were injured including children in an accident in Lakeville Tuesday.

The crash happened at the intersection of Main Street and Vaughan Street, reports the New Bedford Guide.

Emergency crews took eight people to the hospital by ambulance. None of the injuries were reported to be life-threatening.

Single-vehicle crash reported in Sandwich, power outages

SANDWICH, MA – A driver crashed into a utility pole causing power outages in Sandwich Wednesday morning.

According to local media, the driver was traveling in a Nissan Altima when they crashed into the utility pole on Great Hill Road near Settler’s Path.

They sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result. Local outages were reported in the area.

Pedestrian accident with public transit bus under investigation

SANDWICH, MA – A woman was injured after being involved in an accident with a public transit bus in Sandwich Friday morning, reports local media.

The 38-year-old woman fell into the side of a Cape Cod Regional Transit bus on Route 6A.

MASHPEE, MA – A driver was injured after they crashed into a Mashpee Business Park building Tuesday afternoon, reports local media.

1 injured after New Bedford two-car crash into home

NEW BEDFORD, MA – A man was injured after his car crashed into a New Bedford home Monday afternoon.

According to WBSM, two vehicles collided at Elm Street and Rounds Street. The impact caused one of the vehicles to strike a home in the area.

LAKEVILLE, MA – Two people were hospitalized after a head-on crash at an intersection in Lakeville Thursday night, reports the New Bedford Guide.

The crash happened on Precinct Street at Pickens Street between two drivers.

Both were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital to treat minor injuries.

1 injured after truck crashes into Oak Bluffs home

OAK BLUFFS, MA – A pickup truck crashed in a residence in Oak Bluffs Tuesday afternoon, reports MV Times.

The pickup slammed into the house on Church Street causing structural damage. Emergency crews had to place structural jacks under the home to keep the building from collapsing.
