NEW BEDFORD, MA – Seven people, including six students, were hospitalized yesterday after a collision involving a school bus in New Bedford.

According to WPRO, the bus was T-boned by another vehicle on Ashley Boulevard near the intersection with Chafee Street.

Six students on the bus, along with the driver, were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police cited the driver of the vehicle that struck the bus for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Crash on Route 195 in Westport, motorcyclist seriously injured

WESTPORT, MA – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a crash near the Fall River line on Wednesday morning.

The New Bedford Guide reports that responders arrived at the scene of a reported crash close to 6:45 a.m. to find an unresponsive motorcyclist.

Collision with deer hospitalizes three on Route 88

WESTPORT, MA – A driver crashed into a deer along Route 88, resulting in three people going to the hospital Friday morning.

WLNE reports that the driver’s view was obstructed by the vehicle’s hood after the initial collision. The vehicle came to rest off of the roadway after temporarily veering into the opposite lane.

Tractor-Trailer Jackknifes on Scenic Hwy in Bourne

BOURNE, MA – A dump truck driver was hospitalized following a collision on US-6 in Bourne on Wednesday.

According to a report by Cape Wide News, the dump truck jackknifed at about 8 a.m. near the intersection with Any Olivia Drive and the Bourne Scenic Park.

Emergency crews extricated the driver using the Jaws of Life. He was subsequently transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford with unspecified injuries.

4 Hospitalized After Single-Vehicle Crash on US-6

FAIRHAVEN, MA – Four people were sent to the hospital following a single-vehicle crash on US-6 in east Fairhaven last Friday, April 22nd.

According to the Fairhaven Neighborhood News, the crash took place at about 8 a.m. near the intersection with Alden Road.

Police say the driver of a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country van, 75-year-old Maria Carreiro, lost control for unknown reasons. The van then jumped a curb and struck a power pole.

Carreiero and all three passengers of the van were hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
