Driver injured after colliding with semi-truck on I-495

HOPKINTON, MA – WHDH reports that a driver was hurt after he struck a semi-truck on I-495 Thursday.

The wreck involved a 26-year-old Lexus driver and a 56-year-old semi-truck driver. The Lexus driver was thrown from his vehicle following the collision.

First responders were called to the crash site around 12:30 a.m. They transported the Lexus driver to an area hospital in stable condition.

The semi-truck driver was not hurt in the incident.

1 person hurt following 2-car crash on Rte 24

FALL RIVER, MA – According to WLNE, state police responded to a two-car collision on Rte 24 Wednesday.

The incident involved a 33-year-old female and a 22-year-old male.

Driver fatally strikes tree on Rte 140

FREETOWN, MA – A driver died after crashing into a tree on Rte 140 Friday, according to WPRI.

Freetown EMS were dispatched to the wreck around 7:30 a.m. They pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Police believe speed was a factor in the collision.

Officials will release the victim’s name once his family has been notified.

Fatal single vehicle crash reported at Brayton Rd and Ferreira Dr

TIVERTON, RI – According to WPRI, police responded to a fatal single-vehicle crash at Brayton Rd and Ferreira Dr Friday.

John Barretto, 18, was driving on Brayton Rd when he lost control, drove off-road, and slammed into a tree.

First responders were called to the scene around 6:30 a.m. They transported Barretto to an area hospital, where he later died.

The Tiverton Police Department Detective Division and Accident Reconstruction Unit are investigating the incident.

Rollover crash injures 2 people on Myles Standish Blvd

TAUNTON, MA – Two people were injured following a rollover crash on Myles Standish Blvd Sunday, NBC Boston reports.

A 49-year-old driver and a 52-year-old passenger were pinned inside an Audi A6 that had rolled onto its roof.

Fire crews arrived around 11 p.m. and extricated the victims from the vehicle. The victims were then transported to area hospitals.

Update: 91-year-old pedestrian dies from her injuries following crash

MASHPEE, MA – The 91-year-old victim who was struck by at least one vehicle Monday pm Rte 28 near Orchard Dr died from her injuries later that day, Cape Cod Times reports.

Dorothy Henderson was struck in the westbound lanes of Rte 28. Following the collision, two drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

First responders transported Henderson to an area hospital around 5:47 p.m. with life-threatening injuries. She died there later on Monday.

The Mashpee Police Department and the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating the wreck.

Police charge 2 with hit-and-run on Hollis St

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Police have charged two women with a hit-and-run Sunday on Hollis St that injured seven people, Metro West Daily News reports.

According to police, Alanna McCabe, 26, crashed into the rear of a vehicle parked in front of Emanuel Market on Hollis St around 6:20 p.m.

Seven people occupied the vehicle at the time of the incident. All seven were taken to a local hospital.

The driver and passenger, Gabriella Lamphier, 25, fled the scene on foot following the collision.

A witness attempted to record the two suspects leaving the area, but was allegedly struck by McCabe.

Officers located the women on Arlington St. They alleged that McCabe gave them “misleading” information regarding the crash.

McCabe is charged with leaving the scene of an accident that caused personal injury, operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor, intimidation of a witness, driving to endanger, speeding, failing to keep right, and disorderly conduct.

Lamphier has been charged with providing an officer misleading information.
